Contracts: Contracts are being sent out, and are required to be returned no later
than Feb. 11th, 2007. It was
mentioned that it should be stated in the contracts that LBW is a separate
entity from the township/organization who is hosting the rodeos.
Timed Event Livestock Contractor: It
was agreed that Arlan Brooks would provide the livestock for the timed events
at the LBW rodeos.
Trucking: There was concern as to whether or not we could haul our livestock in a
double-decker trailer. This does not
affect LBW with regards to hauling our livestock.
Alumni Rodeo: Arlan Brooks is willing to host the 2007 Alumni Rodeo.
Letter: A letter was sent to Greg with concerns about the LBW organization. We welcome everyone’s input regarding

help…need to encourage the kids to be more willing to volunteer for these
needs.
Entry Forms: Teri
K. is willing to get the rodeo entry and clinic forms updated. The rodeo
and clinic forms will be sent out in the
spring to each member, but the forms can also be downloaded off the website.
Next Meeting:
The next LBW meeting is Feb
11th at Brewster’s Lanes, please be sure to come to these
meetings, we need your input and help to run this organization. Every person who is involved in running LBW
is a volunteer; no one is paid to do the work.
We need more parents to step up to help so that the work doesn’t always
fall on the same people. Something to
ponder: What if every person who has
done the same job at every rodeo all summer long decided not so show up at the
last rodeo? Who would suffer?----the
kids. Parents who haven’t been involved
in the volunteering, please take that step.
If every parent helped at just one rodeo, we would have more than enough
parents to cover the jobs throughout the summer. We strongly encourage all contestants and
parents to attend these monthly meetings, because it’s a great time to get
reconnected with the happenings of LBW, it’s a great way to voice your concerns
and ideas, and the kids also have their monthly meeting at the same time. Since the meetings are held at the bowling
alley, once the kids get done with their meeting, they can bowl while the
parents finish up their meeting.
Needed: We are in need of someone who is willing to
take on the sponsorship responsibilities of LBW. The job would involve finding sponsors,
displaying the sponsors at each rodeo and sending out thankyou letters. Please contact Beth Ipsen for more
information….I’m willing to help with finding Sponsors.
